Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022 has highlighted the vulnerability of helicopters and the effectiveness of small, uncrewed aircraft against armored vehicles.

Ukraine claims to have destroyed 310 Russian helicopters since the invasion began, although this number cannot be independently verified.

Russia has reportedly lost more than 3,000 tanks in the conflict, while Ukraine's tank losses are estimated to be about one-third of Russia's.

The conflict has seen significant losses of both anti-armor helicopters and armored vehicles on both sides.

The use of armed drones and precision artillery has increased the vulnerability of heavy armor and attack helicopters in the conflict.
