Musk has been involved in UK politics, including potentially investing $127 million in the Reform U.K. Party and criticizing British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

The 2011 Fixed-term Parliaments Act, which limited the monarchy's power to dissolve Parliament, was repealed in 2022, restoring some powers to the Sovereign.

If Parliament is dissolved, all seats are vacated, and an election is held 25 working days later to form a new government.

The Rotherham Scandal, involving the grooming and trafficking of underage girls, has been used by Musk to criticize Keir Starmer, who led the Crown Prosecution Service during part of the scandal's timeline.
