X, formerly known as Twitter, is closing its San Francisco headquarters in the coming weeks.
CEO Linda Yaccarino informed staff via email that the company will transition to new primary locations in San Jose and Palo Alto.
Elon Musk had previously mentioned a potential move to Texas, but Yaccarino's email did not reference this.
The San Francisco office closure follows a lawsuit earlier this year regarding unpaid rent, which was dismissed in March.
The move is part of a broader trend affecting San Francisco's downtown district and commercial real estate market.
