Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba will visit China for talks on ending Russia's invasion.

Beijing confirmed the talks, initiated by China's foreign minister, with spokeswoman Mao Ning making the announcement.

China has not condemned Russia's invasion and previously released a paper calling for a 'political settlement' to the conflict.

The main topic of discussion will be finding ways to stop Russian aggression and China's potential role in achieving peace.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky hosted a peace summit in Switzerland last month, which Russia and China did not attend.
