Potentially hundreds of Ukrainian troops are nearly surrounded outside the village of Prohres in eastern Ukraine.

This situation is part of the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia, which has been ongoing for 29 months.

Russian motor rifle regiments advanced four miles to the west, encircling two battalions from the Ukrainian army’s 31st Mechanized Brigade.

The nearly surrounded Ukrainian troops are currently holding out, with no order to withdraw yet.
