A Russian Mi-28 attack helicopter crashed in the Kaluga region of Russia during a planned flight on July 25, 2024.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the preliminary cause of the accident is a technical malfunction.

The helicopter crashed in a forested area near the village of Klenki, and the crew did not survive.

No destruction was reported on the ground, and a commission from the Russian Air and Space Forces is investigating the accident.

Air crashes have become more frequent in Russia, with recent incidents involving a Robinson helicopter and a Sukhoi Superjet 100.
