The FBI is investigating an incident in New Orleans where 10 people were killed and 35 were injured on January 1, identified as an act of terrorism.

The New Orleans Police Department reported that a vehicle drove into a group of people on Bourbon Street.

The driver of the vehicle was killed by police on Bourbon Street.

Louisiana leaders, including Gov. Jeff Landry and Sen. John Kennedy, have publicly reacted to the incident, offering condolences and support.

The Baton Rouge Police Department has offered assistance to local law enforcement in New Orleans following the incident.
