A Russian court has ruled that Google must compensate Russian state TV channels blocked on YouTube with a fine of 2 undecillion rubles.
The court had previously imposed a penalty of 100,000 rubles per day for continued blocking, doubling weekly.
As of September, the fine had reached almost 13 decillion rubles.
The legal challenges were initiated by a consortium of Russian media outlets, including TV channels Zvezda, Channel One, and NTV.
Google was first taken to court by Russian media companies in 2020 after blocking Tsargrad TV and the Internet Research Agency, both under US sanctions.
