Russia has relocated some of its units from the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions of southern Ukraine back into its own territory.

Ukraine's forces have captured at least 1,000 square kilometers of Russian territory, including 74 communities in the Kursk region.

Russian troops have continued their offensive on Pokrovsk and other areas in Ukraine's Donetsk region.

Nearly 200,000 people have been evacuated from southern Russia due to the Ukrainian incursion.

The number of Russian units redeployed back across the border is relatively small, according to Ukrainian army spokesman Dmytro Lykhoviy.
