A draft executive order is circulating that proposes the creation of a 'warrior board' with the power to remove three- or four-star generals.
The draft executive order was first reported by The Wall Street Journal and is intended to quickly remove military officials lacking certain leadership qualities.
The proposed 'warrior board' is inspired by General George C. Marshall's 1940 'plucking board' but differs in its purpose.
It is unclear if the executive order will be signed, but it is reportedly ready for the president-elect's desk on day one.
Former Army lawyer Eric Carpenter expressed concerns that the system could be used to arbitrarily fire officers.
