Vice President Kamala Harris is significantly more popular among America’s youngest voters than President Biden, according to a new Axios/Generation Lab poll.

In a Harris-Trump contest, 60% of respondents aged 18 to 34 supported Harris, while 40% supported Trump, giving Harris a 20-point lead.

In a Biden-Trump race, 53% of respondents aged 18 to 34 supported Biden, while 47% supported Trump, giving Biden a 6-point lead.

45% of young people have an extremely or somewhat favorable opinion of Harris, compared to 33% for Biden and 34% for Trump.

The poll was conducted from July 22-24, 2024, with a representative sample of 804 individuals aged 18 to 34, and has a margin of error of ± 3.5 percentage points.
